My favorite character is Sampson because Sampson is the kind of guy that thinks he is all big bad and tough. It seems like Sampson likes to try and starts fights. When Gregory says that Sampson can't do something, he acts all tough like he can. The problem with Romeo is that he likes a girl that does not lke him. The person that tries to make Romeo feel better is Benvolio. The things that are going on in scene one are Gregory is teasing Sampson, they are talking filthy about women, Sampson gets in anargument with Abram, and then Sampson, Abram, and Gregory get in a fight. Then Benvolio breaks up the fight and thats when the citizens get involved. The Prince breaks up the fight, and then Benvolio and Montague start talking about how weird Romeo has been acting. Benvolio tries to go talk to Romeo about why he is sad but the only thing Romeo has on his mind is the girl he loves. I predict in scene 2 that juliet might come along and that we will hear alot more from the Montagues and the Capulets.

  3. Prince Escaulus would be considered my favorite character in the play. The reasons why I like him so much are,I like how he handles his authority he demands respect, and he's alot like myself he cannot stand arguing or fighting. The main plot of Act 1,Scene 1 is that two families the Capulets and Montagues are fight over power and jelousy, while their son Romeo is heart-broken.These two families are sworn enemies, even the families servants hate the opposing family. The problem with Romeo is he's depressed about love.I don't know the name of Romeo's lovers name,I only know that he is saddened by love and he doesn't know how to deal with his problem.Lord Montagues nephew Benvolio is trying his best to comfort his cousin Romeo.Specific ways of helping Romeo given by Benvolio include look for other girls,or just to forget about his current love altogether.

  4. Today we read Act 1 Scene 2 through Act 1 Scene 4. (Act 1 Scene 2)What was the conversation between Capulet and Paris about? What task was given to Peter and what was the problem with Peter completing the given task? What was revealed to Romeo and Benvolio by Peter?

  5. (Act 1 Scene 3) Describe the conversation going on with Lady Capulet, the Nurse, and Juliet in this scene. How do you think this conversation is making Juliet feel? Describe the character of the Nurse in this scene. Who seems to be putting the most pressure on Juliet to get married at her young age of 14?

  6. (Act 1 Scene 4) Why are Romeo, Mercutio, and Benvolio dressed as maskers in this scene? What does Mercutio seem to imply is the cure for all love problems? How does Mercutio's responses about love make you feel? What do you think are some problems with Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio dressing up with the maskers to try to sneak into the Capulet feast? What could be some possible outcomes?

In Act 1 Scene 2 the conversation was about juliet getting married to Paris. The task with Peter was to find the people on the list and tell them they are invited to his house, but he could not read. The problem that was revealed to Romeo and Peter was that the people holdin the party were the Capulets.

    (Act 1 Scene 3)
I think this conversation is making Juliet feel very uncomfortable, rushed, and maybe sad. I say those things because they have already chose out a husband for her that she hasn't even met yet. The conversation is preety much about her getting married. The nurse starts telling about how she raised her and Lady Capulet starts talking about how she wants her to get married, and there are kids younger than her getting married. I think the nurse is putting the most pressure on Juliet at her young age of thirteen.

    (Act 1 Scene 4)
They all were wearing masks because this party is for everyone except the Montagues. Mercutio says the cure for all love problems is sex. The replies that Mercutio has make me sick. Mercutio is one of those guys who just think a girl is to be used and treated anyway but Romeo is a person who wants just one girl,he treats them right, and he is a young respectable gentlemen. Some of the problems I think were wrong with their choice was that even though you wanted to see a girl you shouldn't break in to a very big party. The possible outcomes I think there could be is they could get caught, they could get kiled,or they could just get away.

  10. The conversation between Capulet and Paris is about the marriage of Juliet.Paris believes that Juliet is young enough to become married, but Capulet disagrees. So Capulet invites Paris to a party so he can speak to other women. The task given to Peter was to contact all the people on the guest list.Peter is illiterate so he finds the task difficult. The feast or gathering was revealed to both Benvolio and Romeo by Peter.

  11. Romeo,Mercutio, and Benvolio are dressed as maskers because they are Montague people,Mercutio is a friend of Romeo.Mercutio implies that the remedy to love problems is sex.Mercutios' response makes me feel as though he cares about a womans body and a little sick.First of all,Capulets hate Montague and will kill them. These two royal families are sworn enemies.Possible outcomes could be death, escape,or hard labor.

  12. The converstaion going on between Lady Capulet,Nurse, and Juliet is just as clear as Jheryl stated.Marriage and children is the main focus of the conversation.I think Juliet feels as though she is a dog and can be given to whoever. The Nurse is a person who believes that she knows everything because she's old.The Nurse is a very prideful, courageous nurse.Alot different than a modern day nurse.I believe the nurse is putting the most stress and emphasis on the marriage of a young Juliet.

  14. The reason why Romeo,Mercutio,Benvolio had a mask on is because they where goin to the capulet house and if they didn't were the mask they could be deaded meat if they got cout

  15. Right now in act 3 scene 3 Romeo has already killed Tybalt and Mercutio is dead. The prince has ordered that Romeo be band from the city of Verona, but Romeo is hiding out at Friar Lawrence's cell. Friar Lawrence is trying to tell Romeo that he needs to get a grip and go see his woman. Juliet is the same way as Romeo is. She is on her floor cyring like she is a four year old little girl.Love is hard for some people. I wonder will Romeo sneak to go see his wife.

  16. I think it was wrong because juliet needs alone time but she shouldn't just be looking for boys .A person should get married at the right time and it was crasy to kill a dude then kill yourself.
