The Light in the Forest
This book is an all time favorite for historians. It depicts a 15 year old white boy who was captured by Indians at the age of 4, and now believes he is a full-blooded Indian. A treaty is signed between the whites and the indians, and the indians must return all captured whites back to their original white families. Read this book to discover the difficulties this young boy faces when he feels as though he is being torn from his "true" indian family and be forced to go back to the "bad" white people.

Right now True Son is among his birth family. He has been around Indians so long that he actually believes they're his family. Just recently he has been relocated back to his birth parents.True Son is having a hard time adjusting to his new surroundings and customs. His family wants him to convert over to english ways and customs but he is very direspectful.I just hope that True Son' family will not give up on him.I feel terrible that he had to leave Cuyloga but it was for the best.
